The TEAM UP Center is proud to announce a new partnership and opportunity with the MASStrong initiative. As a MASStrong partner, TEAM UP will offer a 6-week support group for community health workers, family partners, and similar human service providers. Support group participants will receive an honorarium to honor their participation and commitment to their own well-being.

Virtual | Tuesdays, from 5pm until 6:15pm, May 5th and concluding June 9th.

Registration, please contact: Sonia Erlich, Director of Workforce Development & Training, Sonia.Erlich@bmc.org

Participants will also receive an honorarium in recognition of their time and commitment.

Why: Community Health Workers (CHWs) give so much to the families and communities they serve—often without spaces that support them in return.

Co-led by a peer CHW and a trained facilitator, the group offers a safe, culturally responsive space to talk openly about the emotional demands of the work while strengthening skills to prevent burnout and sustain a meaningful career.

This virtual support group is designed specifically for CHWs who would benefit from connecting with peers who also understand the nuances, challenges, and demands of the role. Through guided conversations, shared experiences, and practical self-care strategies, participants will have the opportunity to reflect, recharge, and build supportive relationships with peers around what calls them and keeps them committed to the profession.
